Is there any way to assign video/audio inputs
to each of the selections on this receiver?

I currently have 2 dvd players both connected via s-video and coaxial/optical digital inputs and want to assign my Laserdisc player to the MD/DAT input. However, to do this I need another s-video input and the only one available is on a video input (video 1 ) which has not digital audio input.

Can I assgin video 1 to the MD/DAT video input and store this setting permanently?

I got a 925, I am quite sure I cant re assign, BUT I think what I have done in the past is something like this.

Optical in on the MD socket, vid souce through the 2nd or 3rd VCR socket, pres the remote for the vid source, you get the picture switchd to the TV then selec MD, et voila the picture source stays but you get the sound from the MD optical input.

These days I got a nice little box that switches all piccy my stuff in RGB so only the sound goes through the amp.
