I'm having trouble getting the Super Audion Multichannel function working on my STR-DB1080QS.

The DVD/SACD-player is decoding multichannel (Multichannel indikator is on), but the reciever is only playing in standard 2 channel stereo.

I've connected the SACD player til the reciever by both coax-cable and a standard analog stereo cable.

But it is only playing standard 2 channel stereo in the speakers.

What am I missing here - do I need to connect the 5 channel analog in/output terminals also ??

I've not problem with the Dolby Digital/DTS multichannel movie playback.

Yep, for SACD you need to use 3 sets of phono leads from DVD player to amp's multi-channel analogue input.

Yes. To get the multichannel SACD mix you need to have the player connected via the 5.1 analogue outputs to the 5.1 external decoder inputs of the amp.
