Hi there, very new to this but I'm also very excited to get building my own home cinema system!! Basically I've already bought the Sony STRDN-1030 av reciever along with 3 pairs of Polk audio RC60i speakers with the thought being that I would keep 5 for my home cinema system and put 1 speaker in my bathroom ceiling. The problem is I've heard the Sony doesn't deal with a "zone 2" very well and I'm clueless how to do this. Do I run normal speaker wire to the bathroom speaker like all the others and try and operate it through the "zone 2" if so, what features would I get from this speaker?

Another question (as I'm very much a beginner at all this...) I'm setting up my home cinema system with my tv -probably a new Samsung, a PS3 and the virgin TiVo box. What setup with the cables is best? As in HDMI all the way, optical audio or even both? And should you go through the receiver to "upscale" your video???

    Yours sincerely

A very confused home cinema virgin
