This may well be a dumb question but...is it possible to connect an iPod (4th generation I think if that makes a difference) to my Sony STR-DB940?

We are not up with the latest and greatest (haven't even seen a blu ray movie yet!) and we still prefer to buy a CD to listen through the CD player and copy it into iTunes then copy it to the iPod to listen to upstairs/out and about. It would be great though for dinners/parties if we could just set the iPod playing through the Sony.

Many thanks in advance for advice.

The cheapest way will be to buy a headphone to rca cable, you can also buy a ipod dock connector to rca which would be preferable. If you have more money there is a large selection of docks to choose from some with remotes, the better ones have digital connections such as optical or coax rather than stereo rca.

This is probably one of the better ones but really depends on how much you want to spend
ONKYO NDS1 DIGITAL MEDIA TRANSPORT iPOD DOCK - available from Superfi UK Visit http://www.superfi.co.uk/index.cfm/page/moreinfo.cfm/product_id/5625 for details

This would be the cheapest option

There are lots more options inbetween.
