    Anybody know the difference between these 2 models. Also what speaker system would you recommend £500 budget. :lease:

    The 795 has an extra channel taking the total to seven. The two are otherwise pretty similar.

    Yep. 7 channels so they upgraded the Pro-Logic from II to IIx, also 10W extra per channel and an extra co-axial digital in.

    For a $500 quid speaker set up i would suggest the Mission m30's its £400 for a 5.1 so see if you can get an additional 2 too use the full 7.1 of the Sony and bring the speaker total to £500. Then your PimPeD

    Is it possible to connect a stereo amp to this receiver so that the front speakers can be used for both systems. Or would i have to look at a more expensive amp such as the Yam 750 for this feature.

    I don't think you can - the Sony doesn't have pre-outs.
