I have recently purchased the above receiver and when I plug my subwoofer which is from my old PC in, (it's a Cambridge Soundworks passive subwoofer) nothing seems to be coming out, I have tried to turn the volume up in the level menu but with no sucess, do I need to buy an active subwoofer or am I doing something wrong?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Hi,

if you are using the rca subwoofer output, you do need an active sub.
