Just picked up a Sony STR-DB 1080 for a good price here in Switzerland.
It came with a RM-LP211 remote which works well.

The display backlight is orange in colour and is rather blotchy (ie it seems to have dark patches of colour).

Is this normal, or should I take it back?

    Thanks,

Try lowering the LCD screen contrast.

    Thanks Mudan.

Tried that but it only changes the text contrast, not the orange background.

Hi John - how much did you pay and where did you buy it?

I am looking for either this amp or one of the more expensive Pioneer ones. I live in Chambery, about 1 hour away from Geneva.

    Cheers
    Martin
