I've been using my NW-HD3 for a few weeks now and upgraded to SS3.1 last week.
Took ca. 95minutes on dial up!

As I hadn't built up a library of MP3's I decided, for good or ill, to encode (so far) my CD's using Atrac3plus.

After loosing my database once due to a complete system failure I have been experimenting with different ways to restore my converted CD's without success.

The SS3.1 backup seems to be the only way to go. Recovery requires that you are online though.
Given that I'm on dial up, and that my database is ca. 5Gig at the moment does the process read a key for each file (very long time online) or just the database (much quicker)?

If anybody has used the restore facillity or knows of a better way to go then I would be grateful for the info.
