Hi,

Let me start by stating I have 0 clue when it comes to camcorders.

I am after one for going on holiday this year and also to record me playing lawn bowls aswell.

Something with a lot of space on it sounds good but I am not sure if the cam being in HD is a big difference in quality or not.

Here is what I am looking at any advice on what to get would be great thanks.

Sony DCR-SR58E 80GB HDD Camcorder

Panasonic HDC-SD60 Full HD Camcorder / Red

Guys some help would be great. Would you say taking a HD cam with 0 or less built in memory is worth it over a normal camcorder with 80gb hdd in it???

Could you rename the thread to something like Sony SR58E vs Panasonic SD60. It'd make things easier for people searching.

The Panasonic is better but it's almost 100quid more expensive so you get what you pay for. A 16gb card only costs 17quid and that will see you through most days shooting.
