I have a Sony DAVS 400 Home Theatre with a sound field setting locked onto "Headphone Theatre". It will play sound through headphones but not through the external speakers.

I cannot bring up the other sound field settings.

I have obviously removed the headphones!

    Can anyone help please??

    Thanks.

    Hi John,
Since yesterday I have exactly the same problem. I have allready removed the phone jack inside the davs 400 (I thought the connector got stuck) but it did not help.
Did you find out something ?
    Thanks,
    Paul Casteels

This is caused by some poor solderings on the Amplifier board.
Resolder the connector wich leads to the HP board.
Also check the soldering of the coils and the power capacitor.
