I have recently had 2 speakers stolen from my Sony DAV-S 880 system.
The cost of replacement is greater than a new system so the insurance company are offering to pay for a replacement system of equivalent value/standard.
Whilst I know a lot of people will dismiss the Sony 880 (and all-in-one systems generally) as not being as good BUT aesthetically they are more pleasing (for the wife!) and that is a big consideration for me so...
2 questions:
1 - Which is the better system? The Pioneer has only 75w per channel - is that enough? It apparently has true universal playback (880 would not play DVD-R's) and
2 - Does anybody have any ideas how I could get hold of replacement speakers for a system that Sony no longer produce (first upgrade was to 888 and now SC-8)?? I don't want to spend much as I am getting a new system.
All ideas are greatly appreciated
