    Just got a Sony S760U.

I will be connecting my Video to this digibox then digibox to TV, both via SCART.

    A couple of questions.

    1. I've read on another forum that there is not enough space for 2 IXOS SCARTS on this box. What about 2 QED SQARTS ?

    2. I'll be connecting the digibox to my SR4200 via optical. When I play a video will the optical output the sound from the video, or will the video sound just be passed through to TV ?

    3. If the video sound is passed through where can I connect the phono's - TV or are there outputs on the digibox ?

    Thanks in advance.

    1. Use normal scarts, spend the other money in the pub.
    2. Just video sound.
    3. There are phono outputs on the Sony box.
    (I' m sorry, I'm not sure I understand Q3.)

I have a Sony 760, if you have any other queries.

Not sure about IXOS scarts but you should be able to find some good ones in the £15 range that have small plugs. DO NOT buy cheap £5 scarts. They can suffer from sound and video bleed so you'll see faint images from other sources. Rubbish.

I don't think the video sound will come through the optical on the 760. If you plug the optical in the TV input on your amp then you can use phonos, either from your VCR's phonos or from the TV's phonos to the Video 1 inputs on your amp.
