Sony s360,Samsung 1580 or Phillips 300

Hi all.I'm bit by bit building up my viewing experience and have now reached the blu ray player stage. I have a Samsung LE32R8 TV,Sky+HD box,and a Samsung HT Z310R Home cinema sytem so my qustions are:

1. Which player do you recommend out of the following;
Samsung BDP 1580
Sony BDP S360
Philips BDP 3000.
All are around £100 at Amazon at the moment.

2. Is sticking with a Samsung paramount when connecting it all up?

3. Do I connect the blu ray to the dvd player with an optical audio lead.

Thanks in advance and please excuse my amaturishness.

I've searched through various forums and heard mainly good things about the Sony but pretty mixed about the Samsung but still not sure weather sticking with the same make would swing it in the Samsung's favour.
Not being worldly wise in all this advice would be gratefully received.

I bought the samsung bd-1580 at Christmas

It was either the samsung, the panasonic or the sony

I was put off the panasonic by the lack of resume facility for blu ray discs

For blu ray playback the samsung seems fine.

I am a bit disappointed with the dvd playback which if anything looks worse than the pictures from my old panasonic DVD player

also the remote control is a little too long and a bit too light

if i could choose again Id probably go with the panasonic or sony
