Sony RDR-HXD870 and Freesat

Finally taken the plunge and bought a freesat box. Just want to find out if anybody knows if I connect my Sony RDR-HXD870 DVD/HDD recorder to the freesat box will the Guide+ function work with the freesat ?

I doubt it but check the model number of the freesat box against the model numbers on the guideplus website as they may have included some by now

They have the Grundig brand there but no mention of freesat boxes. If most Grundig boxes share the same codes then it says it could work. Fingers crossed.
