I have a couple of programs that I record back to back daily from the EPG lists on my Sony HXD770.
The programes are 5:30-6:00pm and 6:00-6:30pm.
If I set a series recording to HDD earlier showings in the early hours of the morning also show up in the recordings list.......which I can live with.
BUT, a section of recording up to the first advert break is missing when I play back the first program on the list.

Anyone know what's happening here please ???

PS: If I drop the series recording option there are no problems....... but if it's an option it's there to be used - right ?.

not sure which model of 70 you have but check its on firmware v1.65 and update it if its not

a better alternative if these are regular slots is to add one in the epg timer as usual ( the first one ) and save

now use timer and go back to it and take the epg off and series link off too

then change the start time to before the start of the programme , end time to later then athe end of the consecutive program , set the date to the day , so every tues , every wed or whatever it is , and set the name if necessary , and save

once you have done this you will get the back to back episodes and can edit and divide them as you so wish

its taking an epg timer for one programme and altering it to manual timer and setting all the details accordingly
