I have a Sony RDR-HXD1065.
It's a good DVD player / recorder and upscales brilliantly to 1080i but it takes ages to boot up and load titles (like a minute or more). Is this usual?
I may have to buy a separate CD player for music playback if that's the case.
Thanks
David
For a short while I owned a HXD1065 but I sent the machine back to the retailer because it clearly was defective.
It intermittently refused to format DVD-R disks saying the disk was defective despite the same disk then formatting, without problem, in my RDR-HX1000
Would not play some DVD-R that have been finalised on other SONY recorders.
However taking those points aside which may have related to a defective laser assembly on the DVD deck one of the things that I really noticed was how slow the machine was to respond to commands from the handheld.
My old RDR-HX1000, circa 2004, was so many times faster I just couldn't believe that SONY were serious with the performance of the HXD1065.
I hope my post has been of use
