I have connected my RDR-HX510S recorder to a telewest cable set top box as it's only input. The clock is set to autoset the time from the telewest box. The recorder regularly shows times that are incorrect by up to +-10 minutes. Has any one else seen this?

kind regards,

les

These clock issues are usually caused by "autoclock".........try switching it off.

Does this mean that an autoclock setting on a DVD recorder will only
work reliably if the DVD recorder is connected to a TV Ariel cable? i.e. scart
sources won't consistently work?

No, it's got nothing to with the fact it's connected via scart.
I find in general autoclock settings just do not work reliably and often introduce failed timer recordings etc.
There was an issue a few weeks ago when the clocks went forward to British summer time and certain makes/models of vcrs had a problem due to a problem at the BBC!
