    Hi
Ive searched the forum for help but i dont seem to be able to find any info that helps. I have a Sony RDR-GX300 DVD recorder and sky+. I have the it set this way:
SKY+ TV Scart into LINE3-Decoder of Sony DVD
Sony DVD LINE1-TV scart into the TV.
This allows me to switch between watching Sky and watching a dvd by pressing TV/DVD button on the Sony remote. However, i can't record either from a live broadcast or a stored recording on the Sky+ HD.
    Any help would be welcome.
    Thanks
    Gary

This sounds familiar to me! My Brother-in-law had the same problem and I'm sure it was fixed by pressing a select input button on the remote. This was different to selecting line1 - 2 - 3 etc.

On the DVd remote, there will be an input select button. Press this until L3 is on the display of the RDR unit. Whatever you are wathing on sky will be output to this.

    Hi
Thanks for the tips. The input idea was sort of the prob'. I had to go into advance and alter the input settings first and then choose the right one on the remote.
    Thanks again
