I reckon that can only increase the price of Jap/US ones now. Glad I got my Jap one a few weeks ago!!

Glad I paid £175 to import a USA PSP with Spiderman 2 UMD movie all the more now knowing it will cost £5 more in the Uk and you'll have to pre-order to get the Spiderman 2 game.

Sept makes perfect sense to me. What's the point trying to spread too few PSP units over too many countries creating shortages in all. Bets bet is to satisfy the Jap/USA market, then bulid up a significant number of PSPs for a decent Euro launch in Sept. Also, shortly after launch you can start the marketing for the xmas sales push, rather than launching a new format before the traditional spring/summer lull.

 That makes no sense whatsoever.

Besides, by the time it gets released over here, anyone who isn't a mug will have imported theirs already at half the price, 6 months earlier.

I meant for the second hand/ebay market. Imported PSP's will be much more sought after now. Those people who were willing to hang on for the official UK launch will lose their patience and go to ebay or similar, I know I did!! More people bidding means prices will go up. That's just my view on things, rightly or wrongly, only time will tell I guess.

Good news for those, like me, willing to wait until the launch here. Will it take over from all the other handhelds when it arrives here though? It does seemed to be timed well for Xmas

If there are people who are still out there waiting for the UK release then I can only assume that they have not yet played on the unit. One blast of Ridge Racer or WipEout Pure would have them importing in a flash!

I have played Ridge Racer on it but can't justify the spend at the moment. I think I'll wait until it goes down to around £100! :)

IMO it will be a few years if at all before we see that price (again).

I agree, Sony are already selling the units at a loss and they are easily worth the money for what they do IMO. I think the lowest that you'll see them drop to is the £130 - £150 mark. Just look at the GBASP - they maintained their £80-£90 price tag for ages and there's nothing to them really.

But I've had mine for over 3 weeks now. When did you get yours?

Also, my 2nd PSP also cost me £105 with Gretzgy, (DvdSoon, as I assume is where you got yours). I have just sold that pack for £185. Therefore, not only have I got my money back for the 1st PSP, but I have had a PSP for 2 weeks longer than you. Not so smug now eh! :rotfl: :hiya:   :lesson: :smashin:   :) ....etc...

edit: sorry, couldn't resist. Very childish I know.

Thats more than I got for my second one. I only got £170 inc postage so £163. Still Mine only ended up costing £120 so I suppose I cant complain :)

I couldnt be bothered messing around I just wanted to get rid of it. There are absolutely loads of them for sale now.
