Looking foward to getting my PSP at the end of this week - I have already bought a couple of bits for it, namely a high capacity battery and a mains charger from here

Im going to need a nice memory card too for my movies - wheres the best place to get them?

Anything else (not games) that i really shouldn't be without?

    Thanks in advance.

ebay. get your card there and also a logitec case to keep your baby warm and safe.

also, get the software that comes out on 1 sept that will allow you to roll back your firmware from 1.5x to 1.50 and all the goodness it holds

sigh..all Euro PSPs will be firmware 2

and that software is dodgy and untested. You could really screw up the PSP software

it's dodgy and untested cos it's not yet released - at least not the one i'm talking about (first story here http://www.pspupdates.com/ )

i know everyone says the european version comes with f/w 2.0, but i've been told it will come with 1.52 and a umd with f/w upgrade to 2.0. I might very well be wrong of course. I just don't know how they could have gotten 2.0 on all the european psps so quickly keeping in mind that us 2.0 has only just come out.

we'll have to see i guess

either way, most will get games/UMD films from UK so....and all games/films only work on 2 now anyway

and then maybe the inc UMD sampler loads it on

Ordered one of them nice logitech cases now too, thanx for the tip. There's some nice cheap cards on eBay too - anyone heard of Sandisk, are they any good?

Whats with the firmware rollback disc? Where can i get one of these?

In case anyones interested i got a coupon code from that site i used that gets you money off, couple of mates have used it so far and seems to work for anyone.

    Use the code:
    pspstuff on the checkout.

Thanks for all your help so far.

keep an eye on some of the psp sites (ps2nfo or pspupdates for info on the f/w rollback). It's not out yet.
there is also software called wab (i think) version changer (or something like that). Once loaded it will fool any umd that requires f/w 2.0 into thinking that any 1.5x is 2.0. Whether or not there are special features in 2.0 that will give you better functionality (i think this is the case with films) i don't know. I wouldn't imagine they will be significant anyway - at least nothing significant has been reported

oh, sandisk are fine. i have a 1gig myself

The Sandisk are actually better than Sony - cheaper (bar eBay auctioning course) and transfer data faster
