    Hi Guys

any ideas how I might get a progressive scan output from Scart on my KiSS 508 to the VGA input on the Sony.

Its a battle between a powered and unpowered cable so far, but Im after opinions.

    Cheers
    Tim

You can't use a egb-vga lead with this plasma, the horizontal sybc frequency is designed only for PC. With a scart to component cable you can use progressive component video, but not to any great advantage with this screen, it's intrinsically interlaced, and processes any video signal intensively, so RGB scart is as good as anything to connect it with. You could try scart-component with the right cable, I presume it's just like the Netgem freeview box in this respect, though I've never tried one. That would give you the opportunity to try progressive scan and interlaced component.
