The picture on my Sony KE32 Plasma seems to be jumping to one side every 6 or so seconds, it is only a tiny jump but now I have noticed it, it is very very annoying, is there a comman problem with this or is it knackered, is it possible that a Sub's magnet has caused this. Is it something that can be fixed or will I need to chuck it away and save for a new one?

Could it be that you have the screen saver function switch on...that moves the image around the screen ever so slightly to help reduce screen burn...might be worth checking.

I will check as soon as I get home, so you think it might cause this even while watching through normal TV viewing, watching a DVD and through a Digital Freeview box?

Yeah it could well be the cause...it's a feature of some plasma screens and when selected will move the screen a couple of pixels to the right, then down, then right and then up as I understand it.

It drives some people mad and other's don't see it or mind it at all.

You should be able to either turn it off or adjust it's speed etc but I'm not that familiar with your screen.

    Cheers, Lee

Cheers Lee, i'm now hoping it is only that, and not something more serious, it is really driving me up the wall, if I remember right, I did put a screen saver on it, a plain blue screen!!

Perhaps screen saver is the wrong term...sometimes they call it a screen 'orbiter' or something similar.

It can't hurt to check anyway.

It is the 'screen saver' function. The image does an orbit on the screen every so often. It decreases the possible 'screen burn'.

You can turn it off in the on screen menus.

I've left mine on, took a while to get used to it, but hardly notice it any more.

If you do decide to chuck it away, then I'll bring my skip round!! :D

    Cheers!

Excellent stuff...I don't think I could live with it either.
