Sony or JVC all-in-one ?

I have tried Sony DAVS500 and 880 and have to say that they are disappointing although bearable. Although I would go for a separate option, the space in TV cabinet is very limited - max ht 89mm. This restricts me to an all-in-one system and although the Sony fits this bill very well, I am thinking of a JVC V70, which I think would fit and it has small speakers, which is also ideal. But the JVC is rated at only 30W p.c, whereas DAVS880 100W p.c. This is quite a difference.

Would the JVC sound better than the Sony, despite the lower power? Any other suggestions?

The JVC has 140 Watts powered sub in addition to the satellite speaker power. The sound from the TH-V70R has clout.
The Sony by comparison, although suited to lower listening levels, it is clear with good steering effects, the sub is a passive flapper woofer module.
Try and have a listen to the JVC .... it will surprise you.
Assuming you couldn't care less about SACD and have ruled out separates.
