    Hi,

I have just bought a new silver NW3-HD3. The backlight is a boring grey/white colour. Is there anyway of changing the backlight to blue, as I have seen on the black and red colours of NW3-HD3?

    Thanks for your help,

    Steve

be glad that you don't have a blue backlight, white is much cooler and fits perfect to the silver body of the player. my hd-1 got a nice green backlight that reminds on matrix - yeah!

Thanks for your replies, at least now I can stop playing with things in "test" mode!!

One more thing, you might be able to help with...the hard dive is supposed to have 20GB of space for songs but when mine is empty is 'only' has 18.6GB free. I guess the other space is taken up by software but just wanted to make sure if yours were the same?

It would help if I knew someone else who had the sony! Or a more detailed manual!!

    Cheers

    Steve

    It's correct 18'6GB because 1k = 1024 bytes. If u divide 20 GB with 1024b then u will gwt 18.6GB.

Has any body tryed sticking a very thin see through peace of plastic in difrent colourson to the screen thin enough to see through...
it should in theory work and would probably also protect the screen from scratches .....

I think i have some card board 3d glasses that came with a box of brakfast cerial i might look for them and let you know how it goes

If you want to jazz the backlight up a bit you could always change the display to negative so the background is black and the text is white. Maybe it's the computer geek in me but the DOS style colour works for me!

Did I tell anyone how happy I am with the HD3? :D :smashin:
