Hi, Has anybody actually received theirs yet? They were due begining of June, Amazon stated june 20th but then said unavailable/discontinued and now says 1-2 weeks delivery but it has a sales ranking, Sony style states waiting for more stock to be delivered. whats happening???????

Thanks bigred, yeah it's the 30gb model i'm refering to, I ordered mine a month ago and still havent received it, was wondering if its a delay with the retailiers stock or a general release issue.

Don't you start, I've just had to apologise for causing unintended offence to someone else on the "cracks" thread :)

Hi, I've been lurking for a while, and I thought I'd use my first forum post to announce that my Stoneaudio HD5HS arrived this morning.

    Hoo-ahh!

So far no button cracks :smashin:

And the volume fix has been successfully applied

Alright, really annoyed I didn't place my order earlier. I done mine on the 7th June, so I'll have to wait another week.
Oh well, suppose its better than paying an extra £25.

I have to agree with Bigred - time is money and vice versa - I placed an order with Stoneaudio for a HD5HS ages ago and by the time they were a week behind www.sony-style.co.uk I felt it was time to cancel and settle for 20 GB. I just can't sit around and wait for things to happen - I'd rather settle for a bit less and have it straight away... that could be a good or a bad thing I suppose...

Sure, but with my luck, if I did that I'd be sat waiting at the end of the SS queue for even longer.

I just settled for a 20GB silver with similar reasoning. If the buttons crack I may try to pay the difference and go for 30GB when they are in good supply.

whoops, I ordered mine from Stoneaudio, sounds like I've slipped up slightly but hay oh, ya live and learn. hope it arrives b4 xmas!! Oh and I cant see why they would be a delay on the special edition as its got black buttons which (fingers crossed) havent really started cracking yet.

Had one on order from Sony Style for about 2 weeks and phoned them today and they said it wouldnt be in stock till July 7th , so cancelled it and found one in a Sony centre in Dublin , they only had 1 and had just got it in , it was 19 euro dearer but worth the extra not to have to wait .Also bought the case for it and a set of EX71 earphones and got a small discount .

3rd week in may, had a bit of a problem with their over zellus merchant service over the address on my debit card so sent a cheque instead, that may have delayed things. I would ring em but I'm really busy during the day at the mo and work out and about on the road, couple this with the fact have the memory of a goldfish 1st thing in the morning so never remember to write the stores number down to take with me, D'oh!!

Ordered mine from Stoneaudio at the beginning of June and was told yesterday not available till the 5th July... Over 1 month after I placed the order!!!! They were pretty quick to take the money from the account though.. If I sound bitter its because I specifically asked how long for delivery and was told 7 to 10 days, when that time passed I asked again and was told the exact same thing-word for word.... When that too ran out I contacted them again and am now being told a tentative date of 5th July. I asked the question and told them that if it was a long way off I would just go for the black 20GB model... No... 7 to 10 days or sooner was the response. Still I have no music... Mini disk dead and i gave my cd walkman to my brother.. Cant get that back coz he is off traveling the world with it...
As I've paid in full I dont think it's too much to ask to know when my order will arrive.. or am I being harsh...You be the judge...

I agree, the only thing that narked me about stoneaudio was their willingness to charge me as soon as I placed the order, almost a month before the player was in stock.

I suspect that this is more to do with the limitations of their web-ordering system than anything else.
