    hmmmmm well

40 hours of playback compared to 30
and the 5 is smaller and lighter in weight

ive asked amazon to cancel my order but its already in dispatch process so i may be too late

ive decided that if my order is cancelled ill wait for the new one and if the order comes through ill keep the 3

everyones happy that way :smashin:  :hiya:

i took a look at the promo pics of the HD5 and i just didnt like the look of it.. it may be smaller n lighter but we are talkin fractions here and i take the 40 hour instead of 30 hour battery with a pinch of salt.... you dont get 30 with HD3 more like 22.

anyways... i payed £168 for my HD3 .. that aint bad is it??

now look.. you're not gonna make me regret my purchase .. DYA HEAR ME... HUH???

the hd3 is a great bit of kit, the hd5 is technicaly better but not by much. if you already have a hd3 or have ordered one its not worth the bother of changing but if you havent ordered either, go for the hd5 obviously.

    Hi Wilto.

I sent mine back to Amazon after using it and changing the volume settings etc because it was ****. Just ring them on this number - 0800 2796620 - then press 5 to be put through to customer services - and tell them you are unhappy with the quality of the product (look, quality etc). Tell them you have NOT listened to it but have opened the packaging etc.

Then they will either give you a tracking code to send it back with or tell you to print one off their website.

I got a refund within 3 days of posting it back!

    yeah.

did you have to pay for P&P?

ive got the label saying "i bought the wrong one"

it should be at home waiting for me and i have no intention of keeping it as i want the hd5 - ill get a full refund on it

but i have to pay for postage to amazon plus i ordered it on business delivery too  . so im gonna lose about 10 pound overall.

just got back from the post office and i have to say the HD3 is beautiful, feels beautiful, looks beautiful and its so small.

i would keep it but the lure of HD5 for same price [just] in 3 or so weeks time is just too much to handle..10 hours more and better G protection just wins it for me.

so back to amazon you go HD3 and im ordering my HD5 from dabs.com becuase its £185

i just dont like the stylin of the HD5.. i took a look at it before i ordered my HD3... to me it looks like a toy and those cross buttons make it look like a gameboy colour.

it may have a few more specs but nothin that implies a huge leap forward.. its bells n whistles time untill the HD7 comes for xmas hahahaha

anyway mate enjoy your purchase, at least you would have had both players in your hands and can make a proper comparison!

i dont think anyone would even need better g-protection than the hd3 i have had mine for a few months and i havent never heard it skip once, even in my trouser pocket when im walking it doesnt skip at all, i doubt the hd5 could improve on perection tbh.

According to the man in my local Sony Centre, all black sony products are limited edition! (other than some, such as the black HD3.....). So maybe its a bit selective, but still! Good on you!

It's £175 from Micro Anvika in Selfridges (Manchester).

Bargain, when an 20Gb iPod there is still £210.

    Well done, Selfridges!!!
