depends what you mean by addons?

officialy there arent any but there are cases and remotes that can be used with it. plus there are strong rumors that sony are going to release some accessories for the hd3 soon.

    Hi guys,

On seeing this post i bought the silicone skin from ebay and it arrived today, very quick delivery. Webchimp was right to call it a skin, it fits the hd3 so perfectly i'm sure they must have sacrificed one for the mould!

It doesn't have screen protection which is a shame but will certainly prevent scratches to the shell. I went for the black case but i have a silver player and it looks a bit brown now, so go for the colour to match your player.

I bought that screen protector and its GREAT! However be sure to REALLY clean the screen and make sure there is no dust or lint cuz it will get stuck underneath the protector. You also have only ONE chance to get it on right or else the adhesive will me marred.

    Cheers guys,

Looks like i missed it this time around. I'll look out for it though.

Is the shape pre-cut for the hd3 screen?

Sony sent me an e-mail a month ago telling me that there is an adapter but it is for their own car stereo, aparently you can control the HD3 using the head unit and all the track information can be seen from the head unit also. Check out the sony uk website.

To protect the screens on my electronic gadgets I use a dedicated LCD screen protector which I got from JESSOPS and cost £3.99. Used it on the screen of my camera, video camera and even my mobile phone. In fact its been on my phone now for over a year and hasn't needed replacing, and still looks as clear as the day it went on. That is very good as my phone is in and out of its cover a lot.

The screen protector is a clear adhesive film which you cut to shape and stick to the screen. Wash your screen well before applying though or you'll see bits of dust etc. and if you have to take the film off it won't stick very well again. I can highly recommend it though. An excellent screen protector. :smashin:

That looks to be exactly what I am after. One question though - I know nothing about car stereos. The CD-player in my car came with the car, and is Pioneer I think. When you say 'head unit' - does this mean I can just buy a Sony 'front' and replace the Pioneer one in my car?

Apologies for lack of knowledge, but hey, that's why i'm asking the questions...
