Hi, a very annoying problem occurs with my HD3 (with which I am very happy): it continually connects and disconnects from my computer, espicially when try upload music onto it. Ive got a USB 2.0 card which works fine with my printer and Im running SS3.1 and Im also having the same problem with MP3 File Manager, oh and in the drivers bit of the USB 2.0 it says its working fine.

Any ideas would be appreciated because its unbelievably annoying

    Thanks, Sat

Do you have the power transformer connected and plugged in as well?

The power cable and USB cable need to be connected at the same time for transfers to & from the HD3. Simply my first guess as I've not come across this problem myself.

If you have access to another pc you could try it on that, maybe at the shop where it was purchased from?
Borrow / buy another USB card, I've read somewhere that all USB cards are not created equal!
Monitor the output voltage and current from the sony transformer?
If no joy with any of the above, as a last resort take the HD3 back for an exchange.

Not sure that I have anything more constructive to offer I'm afraid.

    Good luck!
