Help... I have just noticed that on my KV28FX66 a light "line" has appeared on the bottom right hand side of the screen.

This wasn't there when I first got it (only two weeks old).

The "line" is about half an inch wide at the bottom of the screen, tapering off to nothing from half way up - it's curved.

What is this??? I have just been watching Jason Bourne, could it be the speakers from my DAV?

    I need help urgently please....

    What can I do?

Just thinking about this it's possible the line has been there since I first turned it on - has anyone else ever noticed somethink like this on a Sony?

Possibly the speakers try moving them futher apart but they are probabaly shielded so don't get your hopes up. It could be that you have the brightness up too high. Try lowering that a bit and see if it helps.

Speakers are definitely shielded (well I say definite as they say they are on the labels, but you never know!!;) ) Will look into brightness tonight but how would one area be affected differently to the rest, it is only a very small part of the screen that is affected in the bottom corner?

Having tuned my TV recently (32FX66) with a special test pattern DVD one of the things it pointed out is that if you have the brightness up too high a light square can sometimes be seen and I think that was in the bottom right side.

Do you have speakers near your TV or am I barking up the wrong tree?

Well..the speakers can do that to a tv..mine does..but now I have moved them a little bit further away and the light parts in both corner dissapeared..but the light part on the right side of my telly is still there..and that is a fault...

Yup, mucked about with the brightness yesterday and that didn't do anything.

However have realised that the line isn't that bad, I only really noticed it when I was taking a dvd out of my system so I was REALLY close to the TV. Although I can see it from where I sit it's right at the edge of my field of vision anyway so it's not too much of a problem.

Would be interesting to know if there's anything you can do in the service menu to sort this out (not that I'm going to go muddling around with it to find it!!;) )
