I have had a Sony KZ-32TS1E for a couple of years now and its been great, I recently decided to purchase a Progressive Scan DVD Player and picked up the Sony DVP-NS585P.

I have connected it all up fine however for some reason I can see what looks like banding and was wondering if this is normal? I have outputted a 720p and 1080i signal from an Xbox and these look fine, could it be the image being scaled?

My Plasma has a resolution of 852x1024 and the DVD player is outputting 576p so I am guessing some scaling is happening there.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

    John
