This Tv will have no problem with NTSC discs. I have owned one for a year now, and with a 50/50 split in Region 1/2 discs I have had no problems. The only caveat, do not use 100Hz DRC or you will notice horizontal lines, not drastic but noticable. The 50HZ DRC is far better in every respect anyway. Get the colour, brightness and contrast set right on this TV and it really shines!

    Hope this is of use.

Overall I have been happy with my KV36FS76. The only thing I do not care for is the SVM in personal mode. However, I have got used to this and set all the cntrols to my liking and it looks great.
On the SVM issue, I have noticed it on most sets I have seen recently, so it seems it is an evil to live with! On the whole I did not see a Plasma that gave a better picture, to my eyes anyway. LCD did not impress either, indeed, the salesman did say that for the best pictures CRT was still the best, and most cost effective option.
What did impress me though was a Panasonic Projector and screen, superb! If you want big images then this is it, no contest.
