Just got one off richer for £1069 inc del. I know what the problems were with these sets re the scrolling bars but richer assure me there graded sets are the ones sony have repaired:)

If they are i reckon i got a good deal, what are these sets like apart from the scrolling bars problem? What tv and video gave the unit 10/10. I cant find any info on the sets anyway so i just wondered what your views are on them?

I had one. Had scrolling bar problems. Otherwise it was a very nice set. The only thing I would say now is that it is looking a bit dated. They couldn't fix scrolling bar problem properly on my set so I paid some more money and upgraded to a 36NX200.

Yeah i preferred the look of this one to the others which is what made me want this one as well, but i know what u mean about the look.
So if the scrolling bar problem is fixed, is it a good deal at £999?

Yes it is a reasonable deal. I got mine in Oct 2001 for £1800. I saw it in Harrods around June 2002 still retailing at £2500. It would be even better if they give you the stand pictured above rather than the standard cabinet.

No problem with picture quality when I had mine.

I had one. I was very happy with it. The picutre was good at all times. It developed an annoying sound after 8/9 months and went back. I even found the Dolby Surround OK, (not as good as a separate of course but did have some effect and far far better than the Dolby Virtual on the fs76 I have now). If you are happy with the price I think you have as good a set as any other about just now. IMHO
