Recieved my kv32fx66 on monday 22nd direct from sony as a replacement for kv32fx60 after endless problems.
First impressions are good, excellent picture geometry,no colour staining, no scrolling bars.
PIP works ok which can be selected from tuner or a/v inputs.
Split frame picture freeze gives live action on left of screen while freezing the right.
Remote control can be used to control other brands of videos, dvd players.

This is interesting as it is being offered as a replacement for FQ75 I believe. Not being a techie is the PIP a frozen picture or does the TV have 2 tuners.

Also, did you have the option to take the difference in price in Sony goods? If so what prices did you use?

Finally (sorry for all the questions), which stand did you get?

Paid £1200. for the FX60 in Nov 2000 from local sony centre
Had the tube replaced after 14 months because of bad colour staining .Still had problems with colour staining. After several letters and e-mails Sony agreed to replace the set with the fx66.Had to pay an additional £150 as the set was out of warranty.
As to your questions PIP is not frozen, the tv only has one tuner,
and the stand supplied was SU-32FX2

Surely if the picture is NOT frozen it would indicate that the set has 2 tuners?? Or did you mean the PIP WAS frozen??!!

There is only 1 tuner but the signal for PIP can be set to any of the a/v inputs or tv tuner.
While watching terrestrial signal, PIP would be from any a/v input
source or vice versa, if that makes sense.
    Neither picture is frozen.

Just out of interest, how many shelves does the stand with the fx66 have? I know the FQ75 has 2 and the FX65 has 1, but how many does the FX66 have?

    Thanks

According to Sony's technical sheet, the FX66 uses the same stand as FX65, therefore just the one shelf.

    Hi!

Can you verify that NTSC is ok with KV32FX66?

I have KV32LS65 and NTSC seems to be broken in all of them at the moment. If Sony can not find a fix in a reasonable time I might try to get FX66 for a replacement.

    Thanks :)

    Hi again :)

Ian, now that you have used your FX66 for a while give us your comments about it :) Any problems at all?

At the moment it seems that I can replace my tv this week. Now I am wondering my options. FX66 has same features as LS65 and some more so it seems to be right choice. What might be the next model from Sony (www-pages are incomplete)? FQ75?

btw, do you have full specification for FX66? I can't find it anywhere.. Or the difference with FX65?

    thanks :)
