I have had my KV28 for two weeks now, and I have noticed that whenever the screen goes black (ie between adverts) or is presenting a dark scene, the screen seems to emit a heavy crackling sound. The picture quality is not affected, but it's irritating as I know that every time something dark is about to appear, that crackle sound is coming. Is this down to it being a new set, will it disappear, or is this a fault? This happens on all inputs, DVD, consoles, cable decoder.

That sounds bad, it doesn't happen on my Sony.

I have this TV and have also noticed a sound whenever a dark screen is displayed, although mine isnt a heavy sound. I believe its to do with the refresh rate of the tv, because monitors with high refresh rates also emit the same noise as the one coming from my kv28.

    Does it sound like static?
