Can anyone out there recomend if I should go for either the Sony KV36100HQ or a £1500 plasma. I realise the plasma has lifespan issues but I'm sure in 5-8years or so HD will be the way ahead. I'll be using it for DVD's & Sky.
    Any thoughts?
    Cheers
    Nic

Having owned an HQ100 for two weeks now i can honestly say the picture is BETTER than "cheap" Plasma's. One thing i noticed on the "cheap" Plasma's is the skin tones and colours look well over done, the HQ100 gives superb skin tones and clarity. However Sony's backup remains poor,we have an issue with our HQ100 switching AV inputs whenever the aspect ratio on the screen changes! Sony "don;t think this should happen"!! I deff. answer would be nice!

No other issues, just Sony's QC and customer service seems a bit poor! Let's hope TV number FIVE works OK!!
