Any one help with a problem on my aged Sony rear projection tv. Its a 41 inch 4:3 screen. My fresnel lens has got some damage and needs replacing.

Any ideaas on how to get a replacement lens, and could I do this instead of sending to a repairer? Is this user replaceable or are there tricks to get the job done right?

I assume I will have to get the part number from Sony and order through an approved workshop. PS I live in the Kingston area if that helps. If I can do it, I would like to clean the inside, so any tips on how to bring the mirrors and CRTs up to as new standard would be appreciated.

    Thank you.
