sony klv23hr2 no spare parts ?

    hi i have a sony klv23hr2 lcd and have been told the are no parts avalible for this set anybody know if this is true or are comet talking crap as this set is only 3 years old have not been able to contact sony about this yet.

    I would think it's cr*p, as I believe companies are bound by law to be able to supply spares for seven years.

    No doubt, if I have the number wrong, someone will correct me.

    Just what i thought but i was going to pay comet to fix the set the £60 i paid was for labour only the parts was going to be extra so seems strange. I am going to ask them for the £60 back as they have done f all to my set just told me no parts avalible for this model no more. This set is 3 years old max so there must be parts around. :confused:

    As you say, there must be parts available.

    I would do two things, as follows:

    1) Demand my £60 back from Comet.

    2) Email Sony and ask where their nearest service centre to you is located, then make arrangements for them to look at the set.

    yes i will demand my £60 back to right. I have just spoken on the phone to sony service centre close to me five mins ago and they said that there must be parts avalible for this set as its only 3 years old and to bring to them but they will phone me first to let me know.

    update got tv and the £60 back from comet :) was not letting them get away with it the crooks that they are and will never go into these sort of shops again. sony centre fixed it no probs job done.
