I have just seen the Sony KF42SX300 at £800 in my local Dixons. It looked very good, the picture was good, the stand was an extra £250 but I am seriously looking to buy the set.

I have looked through the treads about the sx300 on this site with mixed review but they are all old treads when the set cost £1600.

Does anyone have one of these sets, what is your opinion on it? and at £800 do you think its a good buy?

    Regards,
    Neil.

The 50 inchers are coming in at under a grand these days, too.

I think (hope) they are clearing the decks for the new SXRD displays. It sounds like they may be good enough to put Sony right back at the top of TV pile, again.

    Nick (fingers crossed)

That's a bit expensive IMO. £1050 for an old tech 42" with stand.

The SX's are not high definition, I've seen them on sale for £649.

If you pay a little more you can get the new Sony 50" 3LCD High Defintion set with stand for £1250.

    Cheers
    Lee

Thing is I only have £1000 for a tv. What is the best rear pro to get for that price then?
