I've boiled my selection down to 2 possibilities. The Panny PW7 or the Sony KEP42M1, i can get the latter at a cost of £1800. However, the Panny has had lots of good press on here so I'd be confident in the product but I can't find anything on the Sony screen...

Does anyone know anything about this screen? I've heard that Sony's latest generation of screens are much improved on their previous efforts. It also looks very nice and wouldn't involve as much component work (I think).

Please - any help/advice would be great and I need to make a decision or go nuts.

These are budget screens from Sony with (I think) Samsung panels. I wouldn't be surprised if they were not made by Sony at all. You'd be better off with the Panny if you can put up with the wiring... (trust me, you'll end up doing anyway even if you buy a telly!)
