Been looking into this tv for a while and cant really find any better tvs. already own a LG 37" but is nearly 2yrs old so looking at maybe another 37" or 40" an the 40W4500 looks the best bet.

do they all have this clouding issue ive heard so much about? is there any better tvs around? ive found some for under £1000 but wonder if any others to think about

any help would be grately appreciated

    cheers

Lots of good panels around but the 4500 is excellent. You won't go far wrong with it.Clouding is exaggerated. Most people delighted with this set.First Sony I've bought and am delighted I did.

I am looking at 3 TVs around the same price. The Sony 40W4500, the Samsung 40A856 and the Pioneer KRL-37V. Definitely try to demo all 3.

    Hello,
I recently received my Samsung series 7 LCD & couldn't be happier with it. Better than expected SD/amazing HD & gaming via PS3. Did look at the w4500 but I got the Samsung for £150 less than the Sony so was a no brainer for me!

No regrets it is an excellent TV!

Does anybody know which is better between the Pioneer KRL-37V or the Sony KDL-40W4500 ?

ive read a few comparisons but only difference i can find is the contrast ratios, 10000:1 on pioneer an 50000:1 on Sony (not sure which is best or how this would make any difference).

the Pioneer is 6ms response but not sure of the sony response time. any1 any ideas?

can anybody else think of any other differences?

cheers, both seem around same price but pioneer started at £1600

The Sony is easily better, if you can find one in stock that is.
