Sony KDL40W4000 Full Pixel?

Hi,I've got the sony w4000 and would like to know if i should enable the full pixel setting? I have tried it but when i do, on sky down both sides of the screen i get thin black lines,when i do this with my blu ray player there is no black lines.Am i doing something wrong or is this normal.

This should be in the LCD forum rather than the plasma, technically.

However, the general guide with "full pixel", "just scan", "dot-for-dot" settings etc, is to engage them with all HD content, and also standard definition DVD if possible in your set up.

I assume when you're talking about Sky you're referring to Sky HD set to 1080i, but viewing an SD channel? This is understandable. I guess it's up to you really. Though you may find you get best results for SD programming via RGB Scart.

If you set the SKY box to "auto" it will pass the 576i SD signal to the TV unchanged. Not sure why you want to use SCART rather than HDMI?
