Sony KDL40V000 + Sony HTIS100 + PS3 + Sky HD

This is how I have it setup

HTIS100 via HDMI to TV

PS3 via HDMI to HTIS100

Sky HD via HDMI to HTIS100

Optical cable from Sky HD to HTIS100

I get sound fine from Sky and from the ps3, the only problem is I get no sound whatsoever when I choose the "TV" setting which covers analog+digital TV which isnt a huge problem as I obviously have Sky anyway but as the "PC" setting comes under TV I get no sound when connecting my laptop unless I use the TV speakers.

Anyone know how I can get sound from the HTIS100 when I use the "TV" setting? Thanks

HDMI, at present, isn't completely bi-directional and no audio is being passed from the TV to the amp. You will need an additional audio cable from the TV to the amp to hear pseudo surround sound from the Freeview tuner. This may also pass the audio from external sources including your PC but to be honest, you're better off connecting sources directly, so hook the audio output from the laptop to the amp.
