Sony KDL40U3000U or LG 37LC55

Hi guys. I'm just about to move into my first flat with the gf and of course it won't be complete without a new and bigger tv (currently have a sammy le26r41bdx). I don't have a lot of money to spend and saw these two on play.com (free delivery a big bonus). Just wondering if anyone has any opinions on them or alternatives that I could buy on the highstreet.

These are basic models.They are not bad but surely cant compare with other models.How much have you found them?The 40U3000 is sold to limited distribution so the price is high and at the same price you get far more better models.Why only from high street?

They are from play.com and they are the at the top end of my budget, I realise there are most certainly models with much higher quality but my budget doesn't allow me to consider those. The most expensive of the two is £570 i think.

Edit to say I mentioned high street because I'm in N.Ireland and certain websites ie Amazon won't ship TV's here and others charge huge delivery fee's so I've only really looked on Play.com as I bought my last TV there.

Hmm then at this budget the best option is the Toshiba 37XV503 model

Yeah its a bonus but anyway its the best 37" at this price....
