Hey everyone,
I bought the Sony KDL40R473 on the 8th of January 2014 and all has been fine up till today. I go to play the PS4 and noticed the screen on white parts had a horrible pink pattern on it like so:
I changed the settings from Vivid (which I always have used) to standard and it was still there, just not as much. I found when going to custom and changing the sharpness and contrast lower it went on certain whites but not all.
Then I thought "Could be the PS4..." So I tried the DTV input and again same thing, pictures here:
(Yes this man is riding a toilet)
I've been using the "Vivid" colour setting for the nearly month I've had it with no problems. But now it's doing this. I have tried to fix it using the following methods:
1. Factory reset
2. Firmware update from Sony website
3. Different HDMI cables
4. Leaving the TV off for an hour and trying again.
None have been able to fix it.
What does everyone think it is? And seeing as it's within a month and I have a years warranty with Tesco too, who should I be ringing up if it is a hardware fault.
Cheers guys!
EDIT: TV is wall mounted and nowhere near any magnets or such, TV's have been wall mounted on this wall for years.
