    Hi all,

Got a couple of these one for my bedroom and another for my mum's birthday from the deal at Sainsbury's

Thought I would start a thread to compare set ups etc etc for this set

Very happy with mine as it is replacing a 25 year old Phillips 10" flat screen in my bedroom so ever so slight improvement!

Still tinkering with settings so interested to know peoples opinions

Have mind on custom; backlight 4, contract 56; brightness 50, colour neutral and looks ok

Have had one problem though - noticed on film4 (28 Days Later) that peoples faces seems to smudge blend/morph as if on some acid trip! I dont get this downstairs on my Virgin feed on my CRT but do on Freeview upstairs

I presume this is down to the Film4 feed and is unavoidable as the adverts and all of the other channels seem fine

hey had a question about my 4000 set

need a bit of helping playing DVDS via PC

Hooked it up via VGA but im getting letterbox viewing on the TV when in full screen mode in windows media player

When i watch the DVD on my TV via DVD in my lounge, the borders are minimal.

I cant change the aspect ratio while in PC mode on this TV. What am I doing wrong?

Is it down to what my graphics card display in terms of resolution?

    Thanks

No worries think its sorted now

My TV settings are as follows

    Picture mode: Vivid
    Backlight: Max
    Contrast: Max
    Colour Tone: Cool
    Noise Reduction: Auto

Maybe the MAX bit is a bit extreme but picture is great IMHO.

GBP299 which is cheaper than most places :)

Dalboy, Will try it out but the out of box Vivid seemed far too harsh to me

    Hi all again,

Got the weird morphing acid trippy type picture blending smudging thing last night again and it is seriously offputting

Anybody know what it is or what is causing it or how to stop it?

Again doesnt happen on my CRT with VM feed and adverts and normal channels seem fine

    Any hints?
