    Hi guys.

Trying to hook up my media centre pc to my new Sony Sony KDL-V32A12 and having a few probs.

Using the DVI out on my old GeForce 3 Ti 200....via a DVI to HDMI cable, but receiving just a black screen. I'm radmin'd into my PC and set the res to 1280x760 i.e. 720p, but not seeing anything.

One things I would add is that the PC never automatically found the new 'monitor'....anyone think my gfx card isn't outputting via DVI? If not why?!

    Thanks in advance.

    Deano.

Do you have blackscreen in windows? On my Radeon, I have blackscreen when I boot my machine (no bios-post screen, no windows xp logo screen) but when windows starts the picture is normal (bad quality, though that's because I've been using wrong kind of cabel..).

Have you enabled your videocards dvi-output in display properties? On radeons driver control panel, there's a specific settings to enable support for hdtv-resolutions.

Black screen at all times, BIOS/Windows.

Its a Nvidia based card and there doesnt seem to be any 'enable DVI' option, which I looked for a few times.

Ok well I just put my main PC's GeForce 5900XT into it....and it works fine.

I think I found somewhere stating that only FX5700's onwards support 'HDTV'...so I can only presume it was the old card.
