If anyone has got one of these, can you tell me what it does?
It adjusts the backlight on the screen depending on the lighting conditions in the room, to give you a picture of appropriate luminosity. In other words, turn off the lights and the backlight will dim to give a picture with more realistic blacks.
Even more importantly, can it be turned off??
Does the V40 have this feature?
Yes. It's in the menu somewhere.
Thanks evryone who answered.I thought it might be something to do with the `blacks`. I`m either going for this model or the Tosh 32WLT58. What do you think will fair better?
