Sony KDL-S32A12U Light Sensor?

It adjusts the backlight on the screen depending on the lighting conditions in the room, to give you a picture of appropriate luminosity. In other words, turn off the lights and the backlight will dim to give a picture with more realistic blacks.

Thanks evryone who answered.I thought it might be something to do with the `blacks`. I`m either going for this model or the Tosh 32WLT58. What do you think will fair better?
