    Hi all

Hope someone can help. I've just aquired a US model Sony 40" LCD TV, model no. KDL-40W4100. Its a fair old vintage but still seems to work and would have been expensive when new. When I plug in my Sky box its says unsupported signal. I presume this is because its NTSC and not PAL compatible. I can plug in my gaming PC via HDMI port and it works fine. Is there an easy way to convert the Sky box signal to PAL via converter cable etc ?

    Thanks

    Mal

You could probably get something cheap and cheerful that will convert the 50Hz signal to a 60Hz one but don't expect the results to be pretty; motion will be very choppy indeed.

You could also spend a lot of money on a video processor (£1300ish) that would do a much better job but then you could buy a new TV for that so you'd be barking to do so.
