Yours is a 2012 model and later on in the same year Sony released the HX950 and HX959

I'm in Stoke Newington so not very near you - saw London and your profile piccy and was hoping it could have been an easy collection.

Yeah that's more comparable mate. The w8 is like mid-high the w9 and hx are equivalent to mine at the high end when they came out.. Could possibly deliver for a small fee?

Agreed around esthetics and build quality but features and processing speed, processing abilities move on.

I'll have a think but any offer would probably be considered by yourself as "low-ball" - thought I could swing you a little more to my thinking.

Is the new stand definitely a genuine Sony Part ?

If so, then how much did the stand cost?

Hello mate definitely I contacted sony regarding it and they sent me the details of the company who deal with their spare parts. It was around £70-£80 if I'm correct I'll double check and find out?

Ok - I'm still undecided but at least the stand is as required.

    DSE is dirty screen effect

Banding is a vertical band that is especially noticeable during camera pans of football matches.

Flickering possibly using its internal Freeview HD Tuner on HD broadcasts.

£325? I'm already losing alot and I'm guessing you want it to be delivered rather than couriered, because i will be pretty much coming from the other part of London to you

You know I helped my mum buy a panasonic tx-l42e6b from John Lewis. This was when they first came out, Apr 2013 if I recollect correctly. It cost her £800! Within 3 months it was being sold for £499.

Now £399 will get a better spec same size panasonic TV.

So new TVs with the same spec have at least halved in price since then.

I'd prefer a 42inch and the very reflective glass of the HX853 is another low point. However I do like the design.

So I'm afraid £250 is all it's worth for me. I appreciate it's probably a "no deal" and apologies if you feel a tad offended. At least I can now have "closure" on this as to be honest I'm sucking myself in, like I always do, when I don't really need a new telly.

    I'll leave it with you.

Hey I understand but this was the flagship model and was £1400 when it came out and still probably has picture better than most others as well im also throwing in 2 pairs of 3D glasses br750 which retailed at £75. I could go £275 and you can arrange the courier at your cost or deliver for £300 which is fair your still getting warranty and original box.
