Sony KDL-32W4000 vs. Panasonic SC-PT850 upscaler

So, I have this setup at home connected through HDMI.

My question is:

Should I feed my Sony TV with the DVD's own resolution and let the TV do the upscaling, or should I let the Panasonic upscale and feed the TV a 1080p signal?

I have myself not noticed any difference in the two. However I prefer to have the DVD player upscale since then I can set the TV's display setting to display Full pixel, which means that nothing is cropped from the image.

I am just asking for professional opinions on this. What do others think, or should I just go with what seems best?

*bump*

If no one can give a direct answer, what is your overall opinion on using a 1080p upscaling DVD player's upscaler versus a 1080p Full HD TV's internal upscaler?

the tv's scaler should be(in most cases) far better than the one in your player.
as for dvd's at 1080p, its all information thats not there, and IMO, they look better at standard resolution, and let the tv do the rest.
